What is redcross ?

The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) is a voluntary humanitarian organization to protect human life and health based in India. The society's mission is providing relief in times of disasters/emergencies and promoting health & care of vulnerable people and communities. It is a leading member of the largest independent humanitarian organization in the world, the International Red Cross & Red Crescent Movement The IRCS has 35 State / Union Territories Branches with their more than 700 districts and sub district branches. Indian Red Cross Society,District Branch Indore is one among them effective since year 1980. Indian Red Cross Society,District Branch Indore head office(situated at M.O.G. line) has been inaugurate by former collector Mr.M. Gopal Reddy. This office has been shifted to Collectorate Campus,Moti tabela ,Indore dated on 1 Nov 2014 .

Objectives of Redcross

HUMINITY : Its purpose is to protect life and health and to ensure respect for the human beings.

IMPARTIALITY : Its makes no discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions.

NEUTRALITY : In order to continue to enjoy the confidence of all the Movement may not take sides in hostilities or engage at any time in controversies.

INDEPENDENCE : The movement is independent, maintain their autonomy so that they may be able at all times to act with the principles of the Movement.

VOLUNTARY SERVICES : It is a voluntary relief movement not prompted in any manner by desire for gain.

UNITY : It must open to all.

UNIVERSALITY : The international Red Cross Movement, in which all Societies have equal status, responsibility and duties.
