Shikanji is the common name used for salty lemonade in most parts of India, but this is completely different. It doesn’t even use lemons. It is a thick, creamy mixture of milk with dried fruits and spices like mace (javitri) and jaiphal (jaiphal) and bright orange flecks of saffron.
